At Kothlis, fit isn't an afterthought — it's the foundation everything else is built on. We test every style on real curve bodies before it ever reaches our site, because we know firsthand that most brands get it wrong.

What We Get Right (That Most Brands Don't)

Deeper Armholes

Standard armholes are cut for a size 4 sample. On curve bodies, that means pinching, pulling, and restricted movement. Every Kothlis top is cut with deeper, wider armholes so you can raise your arms, hug someone, or carry groceries without adjusting your shirt.

Real Bust Dart Placement

Darts are supposed to point toward the fullest part of your bust. In most mass-market clothing, they point at the wrong spot — creating awkward puckering or gaping at the chest. We position darts where they actually need to be, so tops and dresses lie flat and smooth.

Hem Weight That Drapes

Fabric should flow with your shape, not balloon away from it or cling where it shouldn't. We select fabrics and hem weights that drape naturally — skimming the body without adding bulk or pulling across the hips.

Waistbands Built for Curves

No digging. No rolling down. No gap at the back when you sit. Our bottoms use wider waistbands with internal support so they stay where you put them — all day.

The Crotch Curve (Yes, Really)

Curve bodies need a longer, deeper crotch curve in pants and shorts — otherwise you get pulling at the thighs or a waistband that won't stay up. We test every bottom style on multiple body types to make sure the crotch curve actually fits.

One Collection. Every Size.

We carry sizes S through 4X across every style — not a curated "extended size" section buried at the back. If it's on the site, it comes in your size. Every piece is cut proportionally for each size, not simply scaled up from a smaller sample.

Between Sizes? Here's Our Advice

  • Woven dresses & structured outerwear — size up for breathing room and layering.
  • Stretch knits, tees, and jersey tops — stay true to size; the fabric moves with you.
  • Denim & ponte pants — size up if you're between sizes; they relax with wear.
  • Bralettes & fitted bodysuits — true to size; stretch is built in.
