Finding clothes that actually fit your curves shouldn't feel like a puzzle. Here's how we think about fit at Kothlis Fashion — and how to use our size guide to shop with confidence the first time.
Know Your Three Key Measurements
Forget the number on the tag. For plus-size shopping, three measurements matter most: bust, waist, and hips. Measure each at the fullest point with a soft tape measure. Write them down. These are your shopping anchors.
Understand Fit Language
Every Kothlis Fashion product page uses specific fit language so you know exactly what you're getting:
- Relaxed fit — loose through the body, easy to layer, no cinching
- Flowy fit — fabric that moves with you, often maxi or wide-leg styles
- Fitted — follows your curves closely, bodycon or structured cuts
- Stretch fit — ribbed or knit fabrics that give and recover with your body
Trust the Model Note
Every product page shows you: "Model is 5'8" and wears a 2X." This isn't decoration — it tells you exactly how the piece falls on a plus-size body. If you're taller or shorter, factor that in for lengths. If you're between sizes, our model note gives you a real reference point.
When In Doubt, Size Up for Dresses
For dresses and tops with ruching or shirring, sizing up gives you room to breathe while still looking polished. For stretch tops and ribbed pieces, you can often size down. Always check the individual product's fit note — we call it out on every page.
